Lab Engineer

Deborah Solomonow-Avnon is a multidisciplinary engineer passionate about exploring the mechanics of human movement. She holds a BSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of New Orleans and an MSc from the Colorado School of Mines. Deborah earned her PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the Technion, specializing in the biomechanics of gait, with a focus on joint pathologies. She leads cutting-edge research as the laboratory manager of the Neurorehabilitation and Sensorimotor Neuroscience Lab in the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering at the Technion and has recently joined the Neurobotics and Bionic Limbs Lab in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, where she hopes to continue driving innovation at the intersection of engineering and human physiology.
